About Rehoboth
Andre entered the building industry in Guateng in 2007 – currently living in Paarl, Western Cape.
Their son, Andries Reitsma, joined as partner in 2012 and relocated to Hartenbos in 2020 to expand the business to Western Cape.
Between 2010 and 2012 the development of 7 houses was completed in the GREENSTONE area in EDENVALE hereafter they entered MIDSTREAM ESTATE in 2012 as approved developer.
Since then, 57 projects has been completed in Midstream.
The first large development project was completed in 2019 in POMONA (294@Pecan) which consisted of 44 houses and 16 apartments.
Current projects include the development of 66 apartments in RYNFIELD, BENONI, which were completed in 2024 as well as a 2140 square house in MIDSTREAM Estate which will be completed in 2025.
Since the expansion of the business to the WESTERN CAPE, MOSSELBAY in 2020, 17 houses has been completed in OUTENIQUASBOSCH Wildlife Village and the development of 24 apartments in HARTENBOS commenced in 2023 and was completed in November 2024
Two of our existing clients bought stands in VAL DE VIE (Pearl Valley) and has asked Andre to manage the construction of their houses.
The history behind REhoboth build
“Our greatest passion in life is our love and commitment to the Kingdom. We have been dedicated to the ministry of healing and restoration since 2001. Annemarie served full-time from 2003 to 2017, while Andre contributed part-time.
Family is the heart of our lives, bringing us meaning as parents and grandparents. Our son, Andries, is the Managing Director of Cloudberry Investment, a division of Rehoboth, currently based in Hartenbos. Our daughter is a Supply Chain Specialist at Massmart and resides in Courtrai, Paarl.
We both have a deep appreciation for the outdoors, particularly fishing, hunting, camping, and traveling.”
Founders of Rehoboth Holdings, Andre & Annemarie Reitsma, met in 1976 at RAU (University of Johannesburg – UJ) were they completed their Bcom degrees. Andre completed a post graduate BCom Hons at UNISA and Annemarie completed her Bcom Hons in Industrial Sociology, Hon Business Economics and NHOD.
Andre started his career at SAA and was soon after promoted to SA Harbors Head Office in Braamfontein. His last position held was in Cape Town as Cartage Manager (Assistant Director) were the Cartage division profit was increased from R3.5m to R17.5m in 12 months. He resigned in 1993 to start Sonnendal Dairies which grew into a well established, top supplier for Pick ‘n Pay Retail group and partnered with Appetizer in later years. Annemarie started her career at United Building Society with her last position held in 2001 as Regional Training and Development Centre Manager of ABSA in the Western Cape.
MORE ABOUT ANDRIES REITSMA
Andries matriculated in 2003 from DF Malan High school, after which he obtained a two year visa to work in England for the largest lettuce producer in Europe, G’s Marketing. He started out as a line quality controller and was promoted to QA to ensure quality of all lettuce products and liaison with all suppliers and customers for example Tesco’s, M&S etc.
Andries returned in 2005 and enrolled to study Marketing in the Cape. During his last year, he was the Chair of the Student Council.
Andries first position was at AMS (marketing company) and was quickly promoted to a team leader position.
In 2012 Andries became a partner in the family owned business and was part of all the projects in Gauteng. In 2020 the business was expanded to the Western Cape- Andries and his family move down to Hartenbos to establish and manage it.
Since then, he has build 17 houses in Outeniquasbosch Wildlife Estate and a 24 apartment complex (Oestervanger) in Hartenbos. New projects will commence in Pinnacle Point, Mosselbay in 2025.
